A world of possibilities

As a Full Stack Developer based in Santa Clara, California—the heart of Silicon Valley—I had the opportunity to work on an innovative and high-impact project at Ericsson, a global leader in telecom and networking solutions. This role allowed me to contribute to the development of a sophisticated dashboard that served as a key tool for managing and optimizing Unified Delivery Networks (UDN).

Silicon Valley is a hub for cutting-edge technology, drawing talent from all over the world. The fast-paced and highly collaborative environment pushed me to continuously innovate and refine my skills, especially in areas like cloud infrastructure, real-time data processing, and complex UI/UX design. At Ericsson, I played a pivotal role in delivering a solution that empowered network administrators and managers to efficiently monitor, manage, and optimize the performance of their Unified Delivery Network (UDN).

Unified Delivery Network (UDN)

The Unified Delivery Network (UDN) is a global network solution designed to improve the efficiency and quality of content delivery across telecom and media services. UDN provides a platform that enables service providers to deliver high-performance video, media, and data to end users with minimal latency, improving the overall user experience. It helps telecom operators and content providers deliver streaming services, over-the-top (OTT) content, and other digital services more effectively by leveraging a global network of edge nodes for content distribution.

Key Contributions and Impact

In this project, I worked on developing a dynamic dashboard that allowed managers and administrators to monitor and control the UDN’s performance. My responsibilities spanned across both front-end and back-end development, utilizing technologies such as React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and Docker to build a seamless user experience while ensuring high performance and scalability on the server side.

Some of the key features of the dashboard I developed include:

  • Real-time monitoring of network status and performance metrics.
  • Visual analytics and detailed reports on traffic, usage patterns, and network health.
  • Automated ticketing and resolution system, allowing users to create, track, and resolve issues more efficiently.

The ultimate success of this tool was its dramatic impact on operational efficiency. The Unified Delivery Network dashboard enabled managers to increase their ticket resolution time by 220%, significantly improving the speed and effectiveness of their network operations. By providing a user-friendly interface and intuitive analytics, the dashboard allowed teams to quickly identify issues, track resolution progress, and prioritize tasks in real time.

Working on this project with Ericsson not only strengthened my full-stack development skills but also gave me the chance to be part of a mission-critical solution that directly improved the performance and service delivery of telecom networks worldwide.
